A video of unusual nature has been recorded in Zilla Parishad High School, Narayanpet district, and Maddur mandal, of Telangana, in which a teacher is harshly caught on video subjecting a girl, who is a Class 10 student, to an unexpected form of unbecoming behavior inside a computer lab.

The teacher involved is Swami, who allegedly summoned the minor girl to the laboratory where the act took place on the 7th of the month. The school CCTV camera recorded the whole incident, which now spreads over the social networks and boasts millions of views, causing parents and netizens to get furious.

Allegedly, it was reported that the Mandal Education Officer (MEO), the headmaster, and some villagers attempted to suppress the issue by intimidating the family of the student and addressing the teacher. The school is located in the Kodangal constituency, where the Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy represents.

A case according to the POCSO Act and provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has to be registered by the police. There have not yet been any reports of immediate arrest, but the investigations are taking place. This has brought up grave issues again regarding the safety and accountability of students in government schools. Strict action and transparency are being demanded by parents and activists.
