A highly shocking and viral social media video depicting a group of four minor girls verbally mistreating and harassing women in the reserved coaches of the Magenta Line of the Delhi Metro has set off a fire and spread through social media. The accident was allegedly high on the March 23 evening, when the girls shouted and used dirty and sexually abusive words and attacked other passengers, including making vulgar remarks and having some suggestive moves.
The eyewitnesses, including the lady who filmed the video, stated that things got out of control when other commuters politely requested the group to keep down their voices and act. The girls did not cease but instead gave even more profane insults, leaving several women very uncomfortable and even compelled to stand up or feel insecure.
The video, which is viral among the users such as Shruti Sharma, has created an enormous public outcry, with many seeking to know whether women-only coaches work well and whether it is required that the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), CISF, and Delhi Police take suitable action. Netizens are demanding severe action against such a form of brash misbehavior in the supposedly secure environment of the female passengers. Officials are still to make an official announcement regarding the same.
