Nisarga Adhikary, the 19-year-old cybersecurity enthusiast who earlier exposed critical vulnerabilities in the CBSE’s On-Screen Marking (OSM) portal, is back in the spotlight.

Earlier this year, the Class 12 student reported serious security lapses in the board’s digital evaluation system, including a hardcoded master password and weak authentication that could potentially allow unauthorised access to examiner accounts and marks. He had first alerted CERT-In in February, but the issue gained national attention after he made his findings public.

Now, the same teen has flagged vulnerabilities in a startup that recently drew criticism for allegedly hosting a party at a hospital premises. Adhikary’s disclosure has once again highlighted gaps in digital security practices among organisations handling sensitive systems.

His actions continue to underline how young ethical hackers are increasingly holding institutions accountable for cybersecurity shortcomings in India’s education and tech sectors.
