Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh: CCTV cameras have caught a wife throwing acid on her husband. Hemant was walking towards the gate of his house when his wife Shilpi, standing on the second floor, threw acid on him.

Hemant and Shilpi had been involved in a heated five-year-long tussle. Shilpi had accused Hemant of dowry harassment, and he alleged she was involved in an illicit relationship. Hemant thought he was attacked with hot tea, only to realize that it was acid, resulting in serious burn injuries. He was rushed to the hospital. Shilpi has also suffered from splashes.

The police have lodged a complaint and are investigating. The shocking video has made an appearance on social media, and people are outraged about the number of acid attacks in domestic violence cases. Both are undergoing treatment.
