Mumbai, April 29, 2026: Sunrisers Hyderabad produced an astonishing performance as they ran down 244 to beat the Mumbai Indians by 6 wickets at the Wankhede Stadium, the fourth highest winning run chase in the history of the IPL and the highest ever at the stadium.
MI batted with a threatening 243/5, with Ryan Rickelton destroying it with a century. It was, however, easy on the batting lineup for SRH, who were able to post 249/4 in less than 18.4 overs.
Travis Head demolished a rapid 76 with 30 balls, and Heinrich Klaasen was unsung with 65 with 30 balls, demolishing the MI bowling attack. There were eight balls left over, and this guaranteed the duo accomplished the chase.
This will be the fifth win of SRH, and the victory increases their stand in the IPL 2026 table of points. With MI, it was yet another poor performance since they still falter this season.
It was a run-fest in the match as both teams displayed T20 power. It was heralded by fans as one of the most entertaining games of the season, and it solidified SRH as a team that did not fear chasing.
