On Saturday, India has reported 1,260 fresh cases and 83 fresh fatalities due to the viral infection in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With this, the total tally of coronavirus in the nation has increased to 4,30,27,035, said the data.
As per the shared update, the active cases stand at 0.03 percent and the recovery rate has reached 98.76 percent along with the daily positivity rate standing at 0.24 percent and the weekly positivity rate standing at 0.23 percent.

Meanwhile, the caseload of total deaths has reached 5,21,264, with 83 deaths in the last 24 hours, said the data. With 1,404 people recovering from the viral infection in the last 24 hours, the caseload of total recoveries has reached 4,24,92,326, the data showed.
Vaccination coverage and Tests
The nation's vaccination coverage has crossed 184.52 crores so far, said the ministry in the recent data update. As per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 79.02 crores of Covid-19 tests have been conducted so far, including 5,28,021 tests in the last 24 hours.
Covid-19 in Delhi
As per the state health bulletin, Delhi has recorded 131 fresh Covid-19 cases and one death along with a positivity rate of 0.57 percent in the last 24 hours.
West Bengal
On Friday, West Bengal has registered 41 fresh Covid-19 cases, pushing the total caseload to 20,17,389, said a health department bulletin.
Maharashtra
On Friday, Maharashtra has logged 123 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths, pushing the tally to 78,41,147 and the death toll has reached 1,47,785, as per the state health bulletin.
