Iran has produced a swiftly stinging and mocking reply to US President Donald Trump on the topic of reposting a letter labeling India (and China) a hellhole(s). Trump was advised to cut down the random bakwaas, or use of the Hindi word "nonsense," by Iranian officials in an account in a post that soon hit viral circulation.
The comment was in response to Trump criticizing birthright citizenship. The post about Iran has been virally circulated in India, and numerous netizens lauded the unanticipated support and praised the clever usage of Indian slang.
The MEA of India had already termed the remarks made by Trump as being ill-informed and in poor taste. The Iranian response introduces a new dimension to the diplomatic flap-up, making the incident a meme fest around the world and the weird partnership between Tehran and New Delhi against the rhetoric of Trump.
