The distasteful remarks of a female doctor about male cadavers come as a shocker to the All India Medical Students' Association (AIMSA), and it has urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to take stringent action. These perspectives flew in the face of law during a crowd-work segment at comedian Pranit More's live show three months ago, where Dr. Sejal Pawar, an associated physician at Mumbai's prestigious KEM Hospital and Seth GS Medical College, made the controversial remarks.

The video clip was posted online and garnered a lot of laughter from viewers while also being condemned by many. The viral video of Pawar talking about comparing private parts of male corpses brought in for medical studies earned plenty of giggles from onlookers but many condemnations online.

AIMSA drew attention to the need for body donors to be treated with the greatest dignity as the backbone of medical education. Both the remarks have resulted in an FIR filed by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell, fact-finding reports initiated by the hospital, and 15 days of forced leave for Pawar. She has made a public apology.

The fall has sparked controversies around medical ethics, respect for any deceased, as well as boundaries of humor in India.
